Beth Marie Jensen Norr, age 86 of Brigham City, Utah passed away as a result of too many birthdays, February 18, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born February 3,1940 in Payson, Utah, to Reynold W. Jensen and Erma Margaret Selin Jensen.
Beth grew up in Benjamin, Utah on a farm and learned early the value of hard work. As an elementary school child she gathered, washed and created many eggs. As she got older her dad would have her drive the combine during harvest. Mom loved growing up in the country and missed it throughout her life.
Beth graduated from high school from Spanish Fork High School. She later attended Utah State University. When she was only 19 years old, she met her sweetheart, Jim and they married January 24, 1960. They were sealed in the Logan L.D.S. Temple.
Mom said the happiest times of her life were when her children were young. Our family enjoyed many picnics in Mantua Canyon, and we loved going to Yellowstone and Disneyland many times.
Beth worked for the I.R.S. for over two decades. She loved her job and excelled in her career.
Beth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has a strong testimony and served valiantly in her many callings. She often said her favorite church calling was being co primary teachers with her husband, Jim. She also served as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple.
Mom is survived by her daughter, Becky (Brad) Thomson; son, Jimmy (Cara) Norr and her cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mom had a special companion dog, Angel, for the past five years who she wished could walk beside her as she crossed into the spirit world. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by dear husband, Jim, a grandson, Zach Norr, her parents and a special Aunt Edith.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate team at Applegate Hospice, especially Amy, Mike, Dan and Shelly, for their extraordinary care and kindness. Their gentle support brought comfort, dignity and peace during Mom’s final days, and we will always be thankful for their presence during such a sacred time.
Services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Gillies Mortuary, 634 E 200 S., Brigham City, UT. Viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery.
