Carol Simonsen Braegger

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, Carol Simonsen Braegger, 77, passed away Saturday morning, November 8, 2025 at her home from natural causes.

She was born on February 26, 1948 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Frederick H and Viola Syphers.

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1967, she continued her education in education. She worked as a teacher assistant in the Weber School District and then worked at the Utah State School of Deaf and Blind as a brailleist. She retired in 2010.

Carol married her sweetheart, Steve Allen Braegger in the Ogden Temple on October 6, 1973.

She loved training show dogs and competing in their shows, she also liked going for rides, especially to Yellowstone and loved to play the violin.

She was survived by her husband, Steven Allen Braegger; six sons, Warren; Joshua; Dana (Laura) Braegger; Christopher (Jennifer); Joel; Daniel; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and one brother, Dana Simonsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 2 pm at Providence Cemetery, 925 River Heights Blvd, River Heights, UT 84321.
