Carol Ann Campbell

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Carol Ann Thomas Campbell, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Fairfield Village in Layton, Utah. Carol was born on October 19, 1946 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Jack Herman and Lila Carolyn Lockhart Thomas. She was reared and educated in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School and attended Weber State University. She married her sweetheart Gary Gene Campbell on November 15, 1969 in Evanston, Wyoming. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2018. Carol and Gary lived in Roy and later settled in Hooper where they enjoyed a western way of life for 47 years with their two sons. Carol worked for the IRS, DDO and retired from Hill Air Force Base from the 649th Combat Logistics Support Squadron in 2010.

Carol most favorite hobbies included shopping, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren: Maddison Campbell, Shawni Campbell, Cassidy Linford, Carsyn Campbell, and Cashton Campbell, and one great grandson is Conway Linford. She loved going on adventures with them; she was a beloved grandmother.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary and one brother, Jack Thomas.

Surviving are her grandkids and two sons, Darcy Todd (Amy) Campbell and Kurt Heath (Julie) Campbell both of Hooper, UT and a step son, Gary Kevin (Cathy) Campbell of Ogden.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Hooper Cemetery, 5290 S. 6300 W., Hooper, Utah.

A viewing will held on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 1100 am to 12:00 Noon at the Roy Lindquist Mortuary, 3333 W 5600 S., Roy, UT.
