DARLENE B PAYTON

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Darlene B. Payton, 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Mission at Maple Springs in Brigham City, Utah.

She was born on November 19, 1947 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Harold Alfred and Gene Hess Bouck.

Darlene graduated from Box Elder High School.

She married Jack David Payton, Jr. on August 31, 1997 in Brigham City, Utah. Darlene and Jack were sealed in the Brigham City Temple. Jack preceded her in death on May 25, 2022.

Darlene worked for Brigham City Community Hospital in Admissions for 27 years.

She loved shopping, her grandchildren and her dogs.

Surviving are five children: Lisa (Matt) Hoskins; Robert (Amy) Petersen; Holly (Ken Spomer) Smoot; Mindy (Destin Southern) Spencer; David (Tiffnee) Richards; 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two siblings, Debbie Ebling and Tyler Bouck.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack.

Darlene’s desire was to be cremated and have a celebration of life at a later date.
