Dennis L. Greenlee, born on December 1, 1954, in Montpelier, Idaho, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in Brigham City, Utah. He graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1973 and went on to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in upstate New York.
Dennis had a diverse career, working diligently at Cache Valley Cheese and as a greeter at Walmart. He was known for his kind and generous spirit, quietly making monthly donations to Primary Children's Hospital, which reflected his big heart and compassion for others.
Dennis met the love of his life, Pennie Bates, while working at Cache Valley Cheese. They were married on April 10, 1993 in the Logan Temple.
He had many hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He loved spending time in nature, indulging in fishing and camping, especially enjoying the warmth of a campfire. He had a fondness for elephants and was a fan of John Wayne movies. Dennis also took pleasure in learning about the life and teachings of Joseph Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pennie Greenlee, and his nephew, Rob (Corrie) Greenlee. He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Dale Greenlee, mother, Lois Celia Parker, brother, Dale Greenlee, and sister, Carol Greenlee.
The family would like to express a heart felt thank you to the staff at Maple Springs and all of Dennis's friends in the 12th ward.
As family and friends gather to celebrate his life, the viewing will take place on July 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, all at the Brigham City 12th Ward located at 139 E 300 N, Brigham City, Utah, 84302. Dennis will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared with everyone around him.
