Ellen Ann Stowell Wright, 84, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 20, 2024, at Maple Springs Care Center in Brigham City, UT.
Ann was born on February 13, 1940, in Rupert, Idaho, to Alvin Philemon Stowell and Afton Ellen Augason Stowell. She had one older sister, Loine Stowell Mottishaw. Ann grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. Ann met her beloved husband, Richard Dean Wright, in high school. Their first date was their senior all night party. They married on August 5th, 1960, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple.
Ann worked in Pocatello Scout Office for a few years before they started their family. Later, after her children were raised and they had moved to Utah, she worked as a secretary at Richard Price Genealogy.
Ann loved her family fiercely, she loved being a homemaker, she had great faith in God and loved her Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart. She served faithfully in the LDS Church in different callings. Ann was a very kind, compassionate person and was always serving others.
Ann was preceded in death by her best friend and eternal companion, Richard, her parents, and her sister. She is survived by her three children, Kevin (Lana) Wright, Kraig (Mary Len) Wright and Kathy (Ernie) Cassler, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E 200 S, in Brigham City, on Monday, November 25th, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held before the service from 10:00-10:45 am. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery.
