Emma was born on February 3, 1939 in Acuna Mexico to Frank Chapman Gonzales and Elena Pacheco Gonzales. There were eight children, three daughters, Maria, Juana and Emma. She being the youngest daughter. Five sons: Carl, Joe, Frank (twin to Emma), Jim and Ramon. Ramon died as an infant.

They moved to Del Rio Texas when Emma was a month old and lived there until the mid 50’s when they moved to Brigham City Utah. There they became close friends with the farmers in the area where they worked for them doing potatoes, green beans, sugar beets, cherries, tomatoes, onions through out the years.

In the early to mid 70’s Emma worked for Brigham Apparel where she was a seamstress and also an inspector for the coats that they produced. She took all her work very seriously and did a great job with each and every job she had.

She learned to knit and made pillows and blankets. She loved to do word find books and loved coloring books. Her coloring was immaculate and she was a wiz at cards. Her seamstress career carried on through the mid eighties until she moved to Texas and married the love of her life, Isabel (Chavelo) Velasquez. Emma moved back to Brigham City after Isabel passed and adopted her kitty Baby. She was Emma’s companion until Emma had to move into the care center.

Emma was very kind and compassionate and loved her mother and father dearly. She loved having all the nieces and nephews over, enjoying all their company when they would visit. She was very grateful for all who would visit her at the care center and bring her her favorite meal: plain hamburger and a coke, no fries.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Maria and Juana, her brothers: Joe, Frank, Jim and Ramon
