Listen to Obituary

James (“Jimmy”) Arthur Wells passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of

77. He passed away peacefully at his home.

Born on December 29, 1947, to Art and Irene Wells, Jimmy was raised on the

family farm gaining a strong sense of responsibility and discipline. His early life

shaped his practical nature and steady work ethic, qualities that remained evident

throughout his adulthood.

Jimmy was married to Sherrie Beimer, on October 6th, 1973. They celebrated their

52nd anniversary in October. They lived in Willard in the original Wells family

home that was originally built in 1851, where they resided their entire marriage.

Together, they renovated and updated the home several times throughout the

years.

Jimmy was the loving father of Brandon (“BJ”), his best buddy. BJ’s wife, Aimee,

and their children, Brody Wells and Brynn (Mark) Blackham, adored him as a

dependable and supportive presence throughout their entire lives with him.

Over the course of his 38 year career with Jack B. Parsons, Jimmy earned a

reputation for reliability and his unwavering work ethic. If there was a job to be

done, Jimmy would make sure it was taken care of, no matter how many hours

were required. He gained the respect of countless others whom he worked with,

which formed a special bond that he cherished throughout his life.

Jimmy was known for his straightforward, tell it like it is personality. You always

knew what Jimmy was thinking. He preferred honest conversation, kept his word,

and always tried to maintain a calm demeanor. Jimmy was one of the good old

boys; his handshake was his word. His quick wit and one liners would make you

belly laugh. Jimmy will have an everlasting influence on his family and friends.

One of Jimmy’s favorite things was anything he could do on his Kubota. Some of

his biggest smiles were on his Kubota doing “tractor stuff”. Later in his life, he

developed a love of woodworking and started to build a lot of different things. He

especially loved building pallet benches, but he loved gifting them even more.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sherrie, their son Brandon “BJ” (Aimee) Wells, and

grandchildren Brody Wells and Brynn (Mark) Blackham and his new great-

grandson, Benson. He is also survived by his sisters, Ilene (Brent, deceased)

Noorda, Wilma (Bill) McLean, and Nina (Max) Wiggins, also many nieces and

nephews from the Wells and Beimer families. Jimmy had many friends whom he

considered brothers; you know who you are. He was preceded in death by his

parents, Art and Irene Wells, and siblings Arnell Wells, Eva (Jamie) Adams, and

George Wells. He will be deeply missed by countless extended family and very

dear friends.
