Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Janet Kay Snedden Hawks, 77, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Tremonton, Utah.

Janet was born on December 14, 1947, in Boone, Iowa, a daughter of Dale and Margaret Antczak Snedden. She attended Clearfield High School. She later met and married Gary Reed Hawks, where they were married on August 6, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She worked for the Weber School District as a school lunch assistant.

She loved her grandchildren, and her dogs and cats.

Surviving are three sons, Brad (Julie) Hawks of Elwood, UT; Brett (Miesha) Hawks of Willard, UT; Jason (Nikkol) Hawks in Harrisville, UT; son-in-law, Garth Beyer; two brothers, Dennis Snedden and Tom (Sue) Snedden, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary and one daughter, Tracie Beyer.

Janet’s desire was to be cremated and have private services at a later date with her family.
