Our loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, Gigi, Sister, Aunt, and Friend Judith Ann Finnell Williams passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by members of her family on May 4, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Mary Ann and Ward Finnell. Judi had a gift for loving others and spent her life making our lives better by sharing her unique light, infectious sense of humor, and sharp wit.
She was devoted to her position at Walmart for 26 years, most recently as the Fuel Center Manager in Brigham City, Utah. We called her the “Walmart Minister” due to the friendships she forged while working at Walmart, many customers and coworkers stopped by to pay their respects as news about her cancer was shared.
Judi graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was a devout Christian, with her faith being based in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She talked openly about her relationship with her savior, Jesus Christ, and never wavered in her faith. After joining the Church in her late teens, she served in the Great Australia West Mission during a time when not many women served missions (1971-1973). She was one of a kind. She cherished the friendships and experiences she had while sharing the gospel in (Adelaide and Perth) Australia for the rest of her life.
She is survived by her husband, John Robert Williams, affectionately known as “Prop” Williams. The 8 years that Prop and Judi were able to spend together were some of the most loving and best years of their lives. Judi cherished her family and is survived by her daughter Jennifer Harrington, son David (Celeste) Harrington, and her grandchildren: Mackenna Martin, Elias Harrington, Samuel Harrington, Jacob Harrington, and a baby boy that will be born in August, and one great-grandchild, Rhamiya Martin. She is survived by her siblings: Barbara Carlson, Glenn Finnell, Mark Owens, Michael Owens, and Bradley Owens. She was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother, Dale Brooks.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00 am, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3rd Ward Chapel located at 203 North 200 West in Brigham City, UT. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery.
