Linda Jane Kay

Our loving Ma, sister, aunt and friend, Linda Jane Slaugh Kay, 81, passed away

suddenly on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Ogden Regional Hospital.

Linda was born on November 14, 1943 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of George

Gerald Slaugh and Doris May Rohwer. She graduated from Box Elder High School in

1976.

She married her sweetheart Arlin John Kay on March 13, 1964 in Austin, Nevada. He

preceded her in death on May 5, 2005.

Linda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to

the Brigham City 7 th Ward where she was an active member, where she served in the

Relief Society Presidency and various other callings.

Her number one priority was her family. She loved to do puzzles, coin collecting,

genealogy, crochet, listening to audio books and reading books by braille. She was a

licensed Ham Radio Operator, KC7UYW.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Debbie) Kay; Brent Kay; three grandchildren

and two great grandchildren; one brother, Michael (Susan) Trush and two sisters,

Michelle Trush and Robin (Todd) Lloyd. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and

numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Christine Kay, daughter-in-law,

Judy Whitaker, and her brother, Gary Moon.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Brigham

City 7 th Ward, 530 North 100 W.

Family will greet friends on Tuesday, May 27 th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Gillies Mortuary,

634 E 200 S., Brigham City, and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. At the request of the family, please dress casually.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
