Owen Wayne Henderson

Owen Wayne Henderson, our precious son, was born to his special parents, Briggs and Annie Henderson, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away peacefully in his forever parents’ arms on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Owen is the world’s sweetest boy and truly precious. Although his time on this earth was short, he filled every heart he met with joy and love. Owen is a warrior and a fighter. He fought hard and courageously to give his family a chance to know him while he was here with us. He gave us the wonderful opportunity to share him with our family, where he met his cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents. It was so special to share our boy with the ones we love. If there is one thing we know for sure—it’s that Owen only knew love in this life.

We made so many special memories in that short time. We read him books, sang him songs, fed him bottles, told him stories, took him outside, gave him snuggles, and most importantly—gave him love. Owen also did so much for us. He showed us a new level of true love that we had never experienced before. He made our hearts grow twice in size, and we will forever be grateful for him.

A song from a very sweet book we read to him will always stay in our hearts:

“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.”

We are forever grateful for the staff at Primary Children’s Hospital for blessing our hearts. They helped make the time we had with Owen as special as it was.

Owen is survived by his parents; grandparents, Ron and Andrea Gibson of West Weber, UT, and Dave and Lori Henderson of West Haven, UT; and great-grandparents, Dwight L. and Annette Henderson, Dan and Debbie Jones Berlin, and Christine (Ed) Hoffmann. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He was welcomed into heaven by his great-grandparents, Owen J Holyoak, Wayne B and Carolynn Gibson, Terry Lee Jones, and Nan M. Holyoak.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the West Weber 3rd Ward, 900 S. 4100 W. Briggs and Annie want to share Owen’s love and will be hosting a celebration of life and visitation with a light brunch from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. After the service, Owen will be interred in the West Weber Cemetery in a private family gathering.
