Pauline Carver Westergard

November 15, 1955 — July 13, 2025

Farr West

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Pauline Carver Westergard, 69, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in Ogden, Utah.

She was born on November 15, 1955 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Larry J. and Charlene Hazel Barrett Carver.

Pauline graduated from Weber High School in 1974. She married Delwyn Val Westergard in 1977 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Together they raised three children, Daryn, Kristyn, and Megan.

Pauline was a member of the Farr West 6th Ward, where she was an active member serving in many capacities. She had been a previous member of the Farr West, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th wards, where she served as Relief Society President.

Pauline was a special friend to many. Despite her health challenges, she always went above and beyond to call, send cards/letters where she was known for her exceptional penmanship. Her kind acts of service and love will be missed. She loved to travel with family and enjoyed fun road trip adventures to Disneyland, National Parks and more. We will cherish the memories of hotel pillow fights and gathering stickers to decorate her trusty scooter.

She loved reading, riding horses, especially her horse, Joker, shoeing horses with her dad, sewing, playing the piano and her cats. Her favorite past was spoiling her granddaughter, Lilly Steedley.

We are grateful to the many healthcare workers who offered kind and compassionate care over the years, especially her special home care nurse Ronal.

In lieu of flowers, please buy a shake or slush as a cold treat in memory of Pauline and cherish the memories; or donate to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Humanitarian fund.

Surviving is her husband Delwyn; three children: Daryn J. Westergard; Kristyn (Rob) Steedley, Megan Westergard. She has one granddaughter, the light of her life, Lilly Mae. She is also survived by siblings Kenneth (Susan) Carver, Tom (Rosario) Carver, in-laws Lurlene, Vurlia, Diane, and Max (Marcell) Westergard, and many aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends who brought joy to her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, and in-laws Frank and Emeretta Westergard, brother in-laws Gerlynn and Len Westergard. Frank, her father-in-law introduced her to marinated herring, which she despised when she found out it was raw fish.
