Sharmon Dione Hewlett

Dione Hewlett, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, after a long struggle with cancer. She was 69.

Dione was born in Brigham City, Utah on August 4, 1956 to Raymond and Janice Ayala.

She was the youngest of two brothers and one sister. She attended elementary and High School in Brigham City, graduating in 1974.

She married Jeff Hewlett on July 12, 1974 and they were sealed a year later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised three children, Jeremy (Tina); Jason (Kristen); Tesha Hewlett.

They raised their family in Brigham City.

Dione loved and excelled in all crafts. She was very talented in making porcelain, ceramics and many other crafts.

Dione was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had six grandchildren and one great granddaughter of whom she was very proud of.

Dione is survived by her husband, her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter, her brother Chad Ayala and sister, Linda (Rod) Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Mike Ayala and his wife, Susan and Chad’s wife Susan Ayala.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at Brigham City Cemetery, 495 E 500 S., Brigham City, Utah.
