Shirley Irene (Schneider) Reichard, 91, peacefully passed away in Brigham City, Utah on November 24, 2025 with her husband of 49 years, Floyd Reichard, by her side.
She was the fourth of six children born to Arie and Wilma Schneider in 1934 in Yakima, Washington state.
In 1950, Shirley moved to Bremerton, Washington where she was a loving mother to her 4 daughters, Debra Rae Hinds, Sandra Fae Hall, Brenda Kae Venner, and Glenda Jae Sandberg.
Shirley met Floyd in 1975 in Brigham City, Utah and was married by her brother, Lee Schneider, in 1976 at West Loch, Alberta, Canada. She enjoyed camping and fishing at Flaming Gorge, Utah and she always told the story about how a fish stole her brand new fishing pole. Shirley was an expert artist, and enjoyed painting pictures of family and their pets. Friends would ask her to do portraits of their family. She also loved to paint pictures of the beauty of the outdoors, especially landscapes.
She is survived by her husband Floyd, her sisters Donna Callaway and Wilda (Billie) Presley, three of her daughters, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Shirley always gave her faith and devotion to God. She was beloved by everyone one who knew her and she loved them. Her favorite poem ended with the words, “Let me live at the side of the road and be a friend to man.”
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
