Shirley Wright

June 15, 1944 — February 11, 2022

We lost a great love in our life. A wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Shirley Wright, 77, of Brigham City started a wonderful new adventure on February 11, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born on June 15, 1944 to James and Irene Nygard. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1962. On September 5, 1964 she married David Wright. She retired from IRS after 27 years of service in 2004. Our hearts are full of grief and sadness, but also know happiness since she is with the Lord. Shirley loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed her relationship with the Lord, working in her flower beds and garden, doing crafts, having conversations with the neighbors and traveling with or to visit family. Shirley was ambitious in her travels by wanting to visit all 50 state capitol buildings and the National Parks. Her adventures are in a better place now, however she will always be carried in our hearts as we continue our travels in this life. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David, her two children, Phyllis and Brian (Tina) and her sister Patricia. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy and Freda. She may be mad with us for the picture we chose, but that's okay because we look forward to that day. We love you, my wife, our mother, my sister and our aunt. You will forever be in our hearts. At her request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers to the family, please donate to the Box Elder Community Pantry or Pregnancy Care Center Of Brigham City. Leave your condolences at www.gfc-utah.com.
