Vernon Rustan

Vernon L. Rustan Brigham City- Our loving dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle & friend, Vernon L. Rustan, 88, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019. Vernon was born on March 21, 1931 to Bernard Rustan and Lizetta Culver in De Sart, North Dakota. He graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo in 1962 with a degree in Mathematical Engineering. He married Mary Lou Weber on December 27, 1956. They had four boys; Kevin, Keith, Craig and Blane. He went to work for Hercules in Virginia and then moved to Brigham City in 1969, where he worked for Thiokol retiring after 29 ½ years. After retirement he worked as a consultant in Rome, Italy for 8 years. Vernon loved farming, tinkering, the mountains, traveling in his motor home, and drinking Cokes. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou and son, Kevin. He is survived by 3 sons, Keith (Karen), Craig (Gina), Blane (Sherise); 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, at 11:00 am. Viewings will be held on Friday October 25, from 6-8 pm and again on Saturday from 10-10:40 am.
